You may see the beautiful Yushan Cane covers the surrounding peaks with the Heavenly Pond being wrapped in their midst. Although there may not seem to have any visible stream entering the pond, the lakewater is abundant year round. When the skies are clear, the Qilai Heavenly Pond resembles a mirror with an otherworldly sublime spirit, reflecting the mountains and the color of the skies; afternoon, light smoke floating as if caressing the valleys and peaks of the mountain range wrap themselves over the surface of the lake, sometimes fading out of view, and then appearing again; the thick and cultured water vapor and the clearly delineated layers of the mountains give a thousand different and changing looks to the lake surface, forming a scene of completely wholesome natural arrangement.
